3 Quotes to Help Overcome Stress

When I become frustrated by a situation I often turn to a friend to bitch to and let off some steam. Most times this tactic saves me some sanity. Other times I end up working myself up into a stressed induced madness. When thinking about life issues sometimes I feel paralyzed by circumstance, overwhelmed by decision and on occasion even more frustrated than when I began. I’m not even being dramatic, stress is a real thing I swear it!

Maybe when I get little older things like work, bills, friends, and society won’t bother me so much. Maybe when I mature, I won’t care so much about the things that worry me now. Or maybe I will just become so accustomed to the stress that it will become a familiar place, easier to manage due to my comfort with it. I often hear people say “you will get used to it”. What does that even mean? Get used to misery? I don’t think so! I would rather find a different way.

I refuse to believe that life stress will lead me or anyone else into a state of acceptance and tolerance of unhappiness and worry. Not if you strive to remember the positive in life. And I plan to fight the battle and win over my stressful states whenever issues arise. Fight on dearest soul, fight on!

In this nasty battle against nasty circumstances, low moral, work problems, drama or any other factor adding to stress I find the only tactic that saves me is relaxation. Taking a minute and remembering to keep things light in life, to breath and just relax.

It is just one strategy to help keep things on the right path and ease my stress in the big bad world. These three quotes are helpful in reminding me to chill out and focus on the positive.

Remembering the messages within these quotes is one way to keep me from feeling overwhelmed and fighting off stress. It is difficult to remain optimistic, positive or to see the brightness through a somewhat dark situation but keeping in mind the messages contained above is one way I plan on doing just that.

    This is a great post! I try to always remember that everything happens for a reason and going through stressful times will make me stronger at the end of the day. I feel more confident in myself once I overcome a stressful time at work or home. Taking everything one step at a time and remembering to live everyday with a positive attitude helps too. I tend to try and make people laugh when I’m having a bad day. Other people’s laughter makes my day a little brighter 🙂

      That is a great outlook to have. So very true! Overcoming hard times can make you stronger if you do manage to gain something positive from that hard time. It sounds like you have the right attitude, many people can become bitter and negative due to stress so it’s good to be self aware 🙂
