It is important to have confidence in yourself and best friends help get us there, holding us up and pushing us forward.
Acting as a mirror, best friends often know us better than we know ourselves. It can be a blessing and a curse. They know how we feel and will react in many situations. Although as people we are always changing it is nice to not have to explain to someone why we did something or how we feel sometimes.
Letting you talk for hours and hours, asking you the hard questions about yourself or your feelings. Best friends shine a light on the things that we sometimes avoid or wish were not there. helping and sometimes making us deal with them. With best friends, closure is possible, growth and a deeper understanding of who we are available. And if you just want to vent, they are there for that too.
