All Natural Summer Bath Routine

One of the best self-care activities for your mind and body is spending time for yourself relaxing in the tub. It is not only the relaxation that makes bath time a favorite way to unwind it’s the other scientifically proven benefits that keep many soaking up more.

Benefits of taking a bath

  • improved heart health
  • improved skin
  • lowered stress levels
  • improved muscles
  • improved joints
  • enhanced bone health
  • better gastrointestinal health
  • balancing your hormones
  • help regulate your core body temperature
  • improved sleep
  • helps with memory
  • helps with cold symptoms

With so many benefits it is no wonder that making baths a part of your regular self-care routine can be so valuable.

As with any bath enthusiast, the products I use is what makes the experience what it is. Having natural and organic bathing products is especially important. The hot water of a bath maximizes absorption and your body is exposed to these products for a longer period of time. Which is why it is important to ensure the products you use are natural and free from hormonal or chemical ingredients.

An all natural company called the Purple Urchin Soap are providing the kind of natural bathing products that are not only good for the environment but also good for our own overall health.

If you are interested in hearing more about how you can have the perfect all natural bath then check out these awesome products that the Purple Urchin has shared with me.

Cypress Dead Sea Bath Salts

A combination of Epsom salts, dead sea salts, and french green clay. Together these ingredients help transform your bath water into an oasis for your bodies health.

This combo helps with everything from acne and wrinkles to reducing inflammation and pain.

Like many of you, Epsom salts is no stranger in my tub so this product. However, this product takes things up a notch. It really enhances bath water like nothing I have ever used before, giving it a silky (not oily) feeling and a buoyancy that you don’t really get from Epsom salts on their own. This product helps me with my lower back aches and leaves my skin feeling soft and lightly scented.

Lemon Brown Sugar Hydrating Face and Body Scrub

Brown sugar is a popular ingredient in many homemade body scrub recipes and for good reason. Brown sugar is coarse enough to scrub away impurities and smooth over bumpy problem areas. It is also gentle, a huge relief when dealing with scrubs as some products can leave your skin dry and damaged.

Perfect for preventing ingrown hairs and polishing rough skin. In the past, I have tried scrubs that have left my skin dry, sore and even feeling a little burnt, but that was before my Purple Urchin days!

After rubbing it into your skin the brown sugar soon dissolves leaving a light silky residue on the skin which can be rinsed away. Once rinsed a gentle and fresh scent of citrus remains on the skin making it perfect for summer.

After one use I noticed a difference in the smoothness of my skin, especially on rough areas such as my feet.

Bath Bombs – Mimosa & Limeade

If you are looking for the perfect summertime bath product then you really need to try out Purple Urchins bath cubes.

There is nothing more satisfying than throwing a bath bomb into the tub and watching as the fizzy magic happens. Bath bombs seem to be all the rage right now and surprisingly this was my first time using them.

Contained within the bath bombs are baking soda and citrus which creates the fizz of the bomb. Epsom salts and olive oil are also released into the water to help moisturize and smooth the skin. Within the Mimosa bomb was a cute surprise of flower peddles that released into the water when dissolved. How cool is that? Both bath cubes Limeade and Mimosa smell super fresh, tropical and are perfect for summer. All that was missing was a fruity drink with a mini umbrella!

A major bonus of this product is that it is packaged in biodegradable shrink wrap making it as environmentally friendly as possible which is always great to see.

Final thoughts

The Purple Urchin is perfect for anyone looking to enjoy a relaxing bath that is silky smooth and naturally scented. This company is succeeding in providing products that smell and feel great. While also being environmentally friendly, cruelty-free and good for your body.

I hope you get to try out some of their products and you love them as much as I do.

Cheers!

I used to put Epsom salts in my baths and I loved it, so I’m definitely keen on trying those Dead Sea salts and the everything else listed here, for that matter. The scrub definitely sounds interesting to me since it’s a hydrating scrub. Sounds heavenly. 🙂

I do SO love a good bath. I won a contest once and one of the services they offered was a spa bath experience. I don’t know what made it so amazing–but after that I was hooked. Give me glass of cold cucumber water, and great smelling products and it feels like a vacation. Thanks for the recommendations!
