Apple Papaya Clay Face Mask Review –  Astrida

Hello beautiful people!

I am back today with another all natural and cruelty free beauty review. Are you excited? Great, because this is going to be a good one.

Today’s review features the company Astrida who’s home is in the windy city of Chicago, USA. Hello, southern neighbors!

Let me begin by stating this… I love face masks! In fact I would wager on myself that face masks are my favorite beauty products to use. As a result of this deep love, I have tried a lot of them. Astrida was kind enough to send me their Apple & Papaya Clay Face Mask Concentrate to try out for you guys and I am beyond thrilled to share my experience with you. Are you ready?

I noticed the very bright red/orange pigment immediately upon opening this product. The scent was very earthy and the apple and papaya was light and fresh. The scent of a face mask is very important to me because there is nothing worse than trying to enjoy your zen moment while gagging on a overly perfumed mask. This mask of course had the opposite affect as it has a beautiful natural scent.

To prepare you simply place 1-2 teaspoons of this product in a bowl or the palm of your hand. You then add water and mix until the clay magically transforms into a paste. This might sound more complicated then it actually is if you have never used a mask like this before but trust me it is easy and fun.

Texture and notable properties:

Once mixed you can begin applying the paste to your skin. I covered my entire face with the paste, which is my personal preference. The texture of the paste is creamy while containing grains of the clay. This combination is a key component in the exfoliating properties of the mask.

Something worth noting is that the scent of this product once applied is very natural and refreshing making it enjoyable and relaxing. Yay!

Experienced results:

This mask begins to harden fairly quickly and tightens the skin on the face. After about 10 to 15 minutes it is time to rinse away.

Upon rinsing the first thing I noticed was that the red clay tends to stick to the skin. At first, I was a little nervous because I was looking rather like Donald Trump, yikes!  But after a little more rinsing the clay easily washed away. So if you experience this don’t panic, just keep rinsing and know that this pigment is what helps with the brightening qualities of the mask.

Once the mask was removed I immediately noticed how bright my skin was. I have never used a mask that made such a noticeable difference on my skin previously. Ten thumbs up on this one!

Final Thoughts:

Astrida’s goal of providing a brightening face mask was definitely reached with this product. This is an amazing natural product that is better than most big name beauty brands that I have used.

I would highly recommend checking out Astrida and ordering one of their brightening masks for yourself, you will not be disappointed.

This is hands down my new favorite face mask! Thank you Astrida for making such beautiful products and sharing them with me.

This sounds like a great product! I usually don’t notice a difference either with most clay masks so for you to see a result right away makes me want to try it too! Ps: love the Trump joke :’)

This was the first mask I used that gave me such a glow. I think it has to do with the pigment but I am not %100. Love it!
