29 Gifts of Gratitude to my 29 Year Old Self

So it’s my birthday today. Yay! Happy Birthday to me. I’m 29 today! I can’t believe the decade of my twenties is almost at an end. And I am happy to feel nothing but gratitude today.

My twenties though not over yet have been full of surprises and certainly not what I thought they would be like when I first began this decade-long journey of self-discovery. I have learned so much, mostly the hard way but the lessons that have followed have shaped who I am and I kind of like who I am so it is all good.

Although I have lots to be grateful for, today I want to share 29 special things that I am grateful to myself for manifesting so far in my life. Though most of the love and gratitude in my life is centered around less selfish thoughts; today I thought I would try and push myself to express personal gratitude. this

After all, life is made up of a million simple things so why not be grateful to every single one.

This is such a wonderful post, and a great way to be a little kinder to yourself (I spent my birthday being very negative towards myself, things I haven’t achieved, the state of where I’m at which feels so far behind others etc) so I really should do something like you this year. We’re the same age! Huge Happy Birthday lovely!  ♥

Thank you, I am glad you liked it. I think a lot of people can feel a little down on their birthdays, feeling unsuccessful or anxious about getting older. I am trying to push myself to be grateful and positive every day but especially for myself on my birthday! 🙂 Let me know if you end up doing a post like this. I would love to read it!

For me, life was nothing like what I imagined at 20 or 29. You have learned a lot, but there’s many decades to go. Keep learning.

I need to follow your lead and do one of these for myself. I’m glad you’re traveling and I bet it’s helping you move out of comfort zone, it is for me. Traveling alone that is.

    • stephaniewp | 12th Jan 18

Yes travel has made me really mindful of what my comfort zone actually was. I am grateful for that for sure!
